This site illustrates the power of marketing your website and building remarkable content. I list it here to show that it is the first result in Google, for its main search term, out of more than 2 million web pages - it is the first result in Google across the US, UK, Ireland, and many other geographical locations, it went into this position in 2006 and has stayed there since. It is one of my own sites.
Global Tax Reclaim
Due to customer sites being commercially sensitive in nature I am reluctant to highlight many details. However Val from Global Tax Reclaim agreed to limited information being displayed for illustrative purposes.
The graphic belows shows one of the terms that the website lists for. Note that the results are from the web not just results from Ireland, due to the nature of the marketing the site occupies the first two spaces. The more important issue with the site was getting the message in front of the people who were looking for it, we have done this. The visitor numbers to the site have increased dramatically as the website did not list well for many phrases. More importantly now visitors stay for four times longer on the site, they view more pages, and the bounce rate is very low - all of which results in more business.
Using WordPress as a CMS
This site Work in Ireland uses WordPress as a Content Management System - the site is relatively new and lists between 4 and 8 for its main term out of 25 million pages.
