I did some work earlier in the year for a company in Dublin that provide a Vat Reclaim service. And such as I am I like to see where the results are on an on-going basis.

After only a few months the inbound links to their site have went 54 when I started to 380 on Google and 185 on Yahoo - sorry but MSN just does not give enough traffic to even think about at present.

Given the competition in this area without a great deal more work it is impossible to get the site into the top five in the search results. This was explained before the work was started, even my pricing was based the end result so I have to be sure. I knew I would get the site into the first page in the Google search results for Vat Reclaim, however it also happened for Vat Refund also - a little bonus.

It is good to see the site is returning in the top ten although the results vary day to day, between 5 and 9. Search engine optimization is not rocket science - however it is hard work that requires a fair amount of time to implement the changes, and then patience, (lots of), to wait and see the changes take effect - that last part is the hardest especially for clients who normally want fast results.
